Catholic Action: ‘Propaganda’ review – a quick shot of indie from Glasgow

Glasgow’s Catholic Action’s single ‘Propaganda’ is the first off their upcoming debut album ‘In Memory Of’ and is a little upbeat indie gem.

The track explodes to life with rumbling drums and a bouncy bass riff before racing off to a catchy track that’s full of twangy guitars and a sweeping keyboard effect that feels like a nod to Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.

The whole track is in essence a quick shot of indie, flying along at a breakneck speed over one minute forty nine with lead singer Chris McCrory’s vocals ably driving the track along with a quick and punchy delivery, this all goes together to create a track that is fun, fast and full of youthful exuberance.

Catholic Action’s Debut album will be released October 20.
